We have been trying for 2 months to get answers regarding charges on our phone bill.

We have called numerous times, absolutely no satisfaction. In yesterdays mail we received a notice of disconnection. We have waited hours, had promised of return calls - never received, waited on line for hours then someone transferred us somewhere but an automated voice came on saying we did not enter our employee code properly then hung up- that only took up 1 1/2 hours. What a *** way to treat customers.

Awful customer service

In September 2019 we suffered a fatal house fire. The house and contents were a total loss. The fire took the life of my husband and our dog. We had rental equipment from Bell Aliant when I called and explained what happened and canceled the service at first contact was very nice cancelled the service expressed their condolences and I was left feeling like they were a good company. Fast forward a few weeks and I get a call from their collections department asking when Ill be returning the rental equipment. I explained again to which he replied yes I can see that in the notes but that isnt our problem. You either need to return the equipment or pay for its full value. I asked how much that was and he told me it was 500+ I told him that I dont have that kind of money and they would have to wait for my husbands life insurance to come. The person then proceeded to yell at me that I should claim it on my house insurance (not enough coverage to replace the lost clothes let alone the house or a silly cable box) I told him there wasnt enough so he continued to berate and threaten me. The quality of their product was poor at best and non-existent many days. Ill go without a phone or tv before they ever see another dime from me.

We were customers for over thirty years. Desable for 23. The worst service ever. Saw repair guys at least four times a year. The guys were great but the lack of concern or problem solving was pathetic

Dont do it. Worst company we ever dealt with. Charged exorbitant prices for little or no service. Most frustrating experience ever.

Rude customer service

As a long time customer I was looking for discounts on my package and was transferred to the customer loyalty team and I think but not 100 per cent the gentlemans name was rowen. He proceeded to look at my package and asked if we use the lifestyle package much and I said yes somewhat and I also said that we also watch HBO, Crave, Starz 1 and 2 to which he replied thats not what I asked you. I told him if he was going to speak to me that way I wanted to speak with someone else. He said that he was trying to stay on point and I told him that I was going to hang up and call back to get somebody else. I have always had great customer service with Bell Aliant but today I felt whoever I was talking to was rude. Everybody has an off day especially in these times we are experiencing but I didnt appreciate his attitude.

Billing Anomalies -

I got rid of Bell back in August 2021 due to the outrageous cost of service, and I'm still receiving bills. The bill in October 2021 was for equipment not returned (and it was). Called again - and it was removed. November 19, 2021, got a letter from Bell stating our account is going into collections. Didn't receive a bill, email, or phone call. Finally, figured it out today November 19th,, 2021 and Bell owes us. The most frustrating part is the copious amount of time I spent on the phone trying to get my bill rectified. I will never use their service again!

Still angry after a few years, Bell keeps trying to win me back

Bell always tries to win back service with people they've lost, and continue to do so. I will never return to Bell and if this review prevents at least one customer from ordering from them, I will be happy. I ordered an internet package for the year, and was offered an Ipad during the promo. I had asked specifically if I needed the bundle and was told by the rep I did not. So I signed up expecting not to get a bundle. I didn't want the bundle, just internet, and didn't want the ipad if I had to get the bundle as the monthly payments would have exceeded my budget and essentially cost the same as the ipad. When I started service, they went ahead and signed me up as a bundle customer anyways for extra $$, and refused to put me back on the internet only plan after numerous calls. They said I would have to pay for the ipad to cancel, or just accept the contract as is, and deal with it. They then threatened to send me to collections and wouldn't let me back out of the contract under any circumstances. So I paid for the "free" ipad by paying for the monthly bills and then cancelled promptly as soon as possible. I was told I could not cancel right away, and had to give a months notice, which is complete BS. I eventually got them to cancel anyway, after fighting tooth and nail with a stubborn cancellation department, who could offer nothing except whines about "your going to cancel on me?!" from some rep trying to get all personal and slimy with me. Anyhow, 5 years later and I will never consider going with them again. Their customer service is there so they can say they've done something but is functionally broken. Go with a small provider and send these guys packing. Hey maybe a pipe dream but seriously this anti competitive predatory company should be knocked out of existence. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Sigh.

Leave Bell Aliant Pay 1600$ Fees for Leaving

I do not like Bell Aliant's Threats as being one of their users of their internet server, telephone and tv cable getting letters 3yrs into my contract that if I leave for another cable-telephone company I will be charged these fees if I unsubscribe....My mom recieved a letter like this and we have been with Bell Aliant about 8 years. I have been to another cable/TV/telephone company whom says Bell Aliant is doing fraud in sending these letters. My mother was quite upset and had wanted to leave Bell Aliant for East Link, but after recieving that letter thought we had to stay with Bell Aliant.

How they change payments as they go along

I have been with Bell Aliant for many years and i'm starting to loose faith in them very quickly..I had made a payment plan with them and when payment is made i'm to call Bell Aliant for a comfirmation number in which I did till I was informed they increased my payment agreement..from 200.00 till 340.00 without my knowledge and apparently they can do this..i was informed of this recently. Just so you know I will take this much further I refuse to be a victim

Bell alliantsucks

i signed a contract with bell alliant they are sending us rediculas bills i am on odsp and my contract is 186 dollars they will not let us cancell and they said they can charge us anything they want and that the billing department is not accociated with bell bull i refuse to pay 450 500 keeps going up great service but i am fed up and they send twice a month that amount who can i contact they r getting away with it i feel helpless i am raising a stink they r going to pay they r ripping everybody off i pay more than my dad and he as 5 boxes and the same package and he pays 250 how may poeple on pensions and odsp r they taking advantage of and i have the bundle i cannot mess with this i need the net and phone for my health i deal with sick kids thats my contact with them

Bell Canada charges to ditch their services

I was with Bell Canada for their services of home phone,long distances and internet.I have been finding back in 2011 that we do not use the long distance service that we were being charged for so opted out of that service.Then last month I bundeled with Rogers because they we're providing the same services,plus TV at a cheaper rate.Rogers said they would call bell to cancel,whih they did.I get my phone bill today and Bell charge 28.45 plus tax 3.70 ,calling it early cancellation balance you need 30 days to let them know.Really is that honest.Also when we cancelled their service ,Bell called to inform us they could give us the same deal as Rogers.Too little too late.Buyer beware...

High speed internet service for rural Nova Scotia

I'm very angry because it's almost 2008 and we still don't have high speed internet, I read the government is funding to deliver high speed to all of Nova Scotia. First it was by the end of 2009, the next day I read it was changed to 2010. I was very angry, so I emailed whoever I could, aliant, the government etc. On a Friday in October. I moved here from Ontario, where high speed is available everywhere. They aliant have to stop sending me form letters and step up and tell me a day & month we will receiving the service, also including the goverment. Oh another thing I'd like to mention, we are 5.5 kilometers away from the station, that is why we don't have high speed internet. I don't understand why that is. And the dial-up service really sucks, thats putting it bluntly. That's why I'm very pissed off at this situation, why noone can give me a straight answer on this issue. All I want is a day & time we will receiving high speed. I think we deserve that much to say the least. Thank you Trevor Burton
